I learned to can when I was a tee tot, my Mom taught me, we canned everything under the sun. And I have continued my love for canning. This is one of my favorite recipes that it took me forever to perfect because my Mom did not write this recipe down. It goes PERFECT with pinto beans, on a hot dog or on your plate. Tangy Green Tomato Chow Chow made fresh in a small batch in my kitchen and it comes in an 8 ounce jar.
I have won many canning contests and I am featured in a few cook books.
This is a throw back recipe dedicated to my Mother that has green tomatoes, cabbage, cauliflower, red bell peppers, green bell peppers, onions, garlic and secret spices.
You can use Chow Chow just on your plate, a substitute for pickle relish for your hamburgers and hot dogs, or my favorite putting it in pinto beans....YUMMY!!!
